Shops at Sphinx Airport

Retail at Sphinx International Airport is generally limited to a small duty-free area and a handful of convenience-style shops, reflecting its size compared with Cairo International Airport's larger terminals.

If you're after a wider selection — souvenirs, specific brands, or a bigger duty-free hall — central Cairo or a connecting flight through Cairo International will offer more choice.

Retail space at a newer, single-terminal airport like this one is naturally smaller than at a major hub — expect a modest selection rather than a large duty-free hall. Because everything is under one roof, the layout is simple to navigate: the departures side covers check-in counters, security screening, passport control and boarding gates, while the arrivals side covers passport control, baggage reclaim and customs — with no inter-terminal transfers to worry about.

As with most Egyptian airports, it's worth arriving at least 3 hours before an international departure and around 2 hours before a domestic one, since security screening and passport control can take longer at busier times.
